Olinda Ferny Creek Junior Football Club
2010 Player Registration Well it is that time of year again when we are starting to organise teams for next year. The club is now calling for registrations from current players and siblings for season 2010.
1. Registration Letter - this outlines the registration process, some info from the registration policy and registration cost for 2010. This letter is for you to keep. Download
2. OFCJFC Registration form (complete hard copy please) - You may use this for up to 3 siblings, please make sure this form is signed and include payment details Download
3. OFCJFC Medical form (complete hard copy please) - each child must have their own form again please make sure it's signed. Download
4. DRJFL Registration form (complete hard copy please) - each child has their own form. This form looks a bit confusing - just fill out the first box (your child's details etc) and sign at the bottom. (This same form is used for transfers which is why it contains other info - you do not need to worry about that). Download
The three forms need to be printed out by you, completed and returned with payment by 1st December to ensure your childs place in the teams for 2010 (We believe our numbers will be high for next year and therefore places may be limited - read the rego letter for further information regarding this).
The clubs postal address is OFCJFC, P O BOX 95, OLINDA. 3788 - please mark envelope REGISTRATION. If you would rather you can drop your forms and money into me at home, 14 Clarkmont Road, Sassafras.
If you have any queries regarding any of these forms, payment etc......please feel free to give me a call
Eastern Region Coach of the Year Presentation Night Congratulations to Sally on her nomination in the female Coach of the Year award. Sally was one of four finalists in this category. A great recognition for a job well done in Sally's first year of coaching.
Congratulations also to Brett who was announced as the WINNER of the Eastern Region Coaches Association "Junior" (U/9 - U/12 yo) Coach of the Year. Brett was selected from a group of worthy nominations and his award is justly deserved for his fantastic effort working with his team over the last couple of years, and this season in particular. Brett now proceeds to the State Final for the Victorian Coach of the Year awards for 2009, to be announced sometime in late November / early December. Well done to Brett and good luck for the State award. |
DRJFL Best Conducted Team award Well done to the u/16s and u/14s teams for winning the DRJFL Best Conducted Team awards for their age groups this season. This award is based on the conduct of the team and the coaching and support groups on match days and is largely a reflection on the work of the team manager in ensuring that all official duties are taken care of in the correct manner each week. This is the second year in a row that Marty's team has won this prestigious award - congratulations coach and a special 'well done' to super co-team managers Steve and Michelle, also to Sef for his great work with the u/14s. We're obviously doing a few things right up here!
Senior Bloods historic effort Congratulations also to the senior club for their historic effort in bring home the three flags (U/18, Reserves and Seniors) in YVMDFL Division 2 this season. We look forward to the club rejoining Division 1 in 2010 with a steady stream of great young players heading up from the junior club to join the senior ranks.
New committee & new faces Congratulations to all of the new committee. It's great to see so many parents willing to jump on board and assist in helping to make our club even stronger!
Coaches Adrian has taken up the reins in his new role as coaching coordinator and the coach appointment process for 2010 is now under way. Applications for all coaching positions open shortly and the club would welcome applications and / or expressions of interest from anybody interested in taking on a coaching role in the coming season. All enquiries to Adrian in the first instance.

1. Registration and Teams for 2010 One of the club's first priorities is to gain an indication of likely player numbers so that we may determine the number of teams to register for next season. To assist us in this process, we are asking all families to please indicate by return email whether your child/ren are likely to return to play football with the club next year.
Registration notices and forms will be sent to all currently registered players during October via email. Early registration will again be offered to all players with payments being made prior to 1st December, 2009 receiving a free pair of socks for the 2010 season. (For those families without email addresses notification will be sent by post).
The 2010 season kick off and registration day for new players will be held in February 2010.
2. 2010 Helpers/Committee New faces will again be required to help with the smooth running of the club in 2010. If you think you may like to help out, please let us know so we can make sure to look you up for next year. This may be in the role of a match day helper for your child's team or maybe to help out at our home games two or three times during the year ie. Gate keeper, canteen, dinner helper etc
.
4. Suggestions/Comments As a club on the move we love to hear any suggestions or comments from our members. Please feel free to provide any feedback you may think will help to make our great club even better!!!!
Thanks, Liz Horner (Registration Secretary) |
